Dr. George was born and raised in Coventry, RI where he graduated from Coventry High School in 1992.  He then went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Boston College in 1996, earning a full military scholarship to dental school.

In 2002, Dr. George earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Florida.  Later that year, Dr. George was accepted to the United States Army's prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Landstuhl Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany.

In 2003-2006, Dr. George served out his time in the Army during the Global War on Terror and the War for Iraqi Freedom as the Assistant Officer in Charge of the Baumholder Dental Clinic and the Division Dental Surgeon for the 1st Infantry Division.  While holding these positions, Dr. George earned 2 Army Commendation medals for being the highest producing dentist in Europe for 2 years in a row.  He also earned an Army Achievement Award for excellence in Oral Surgery and Endodontics.  Dr. George believes his time in the Army really helped him grow emotionally and professionally.  He states, "Serving in the Army helped shape me as a person.  There is no greater feeling than to serve your country and to protect its legacy of egalitarian ideals and ideologies."

After leaving the Army in 2006, Eric earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in his first bid. This award represents only 3% of dentists nationwide and is highly esteemed by fellow colleagues.  Two years later, Dr. George earned his Associate Fellowship in the World Clinical Laser Institute and in 2009, earned a Fellowship in Dental Implantology via the International College of Oral Implantology.  That same year, Dr. George completed New York University's Maxi Course Implant Training Program and earned a certificate in Implant Surgery and Bone Grafting.

In 2009, Dr. George completed an Associate Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has completed IV sedation training residencies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx.  He is currently one of the only general dentists offering parenteral Moderate Sedation in Rhode Island and receives patients from all over New England in need of IV sedation for comprehensive dental treatment.  Dr. George has been recognized on multiple occasions as one of Rhode Island's top dentists in Rhode Island magazine.

In 2014, Dr. George was nominated by the governor to be on the State Dental Board and currently serves as the Chairman of the Anesthesia Committee.  In 2015 Dr. George was also nominated by his piers for Fellowship in the International College of Dentists, the world's oldest and largest honor society for dentists.  Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only. A nominated dentist must pass a rigorous, peer review process leading to the recognition of the individual’s “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.”

Dr. George has received certificates from numerous institutions to include the renowned Rosenthal Esthetic Dental Institute and the Esthetic Skin Institute.  He is certified in Botox and Dermal Fillers and treats patients with all types of oral disparities.

Dr. George believes in a strong commitment to continuing education and organized dentistry, citing, "Being a dentist espouses a lifelong commitment to learning.  Didactic education, not only advances the practitioner individually, but it perpetuates a garnered respect for the occupation in the community."

In his spare time Dr. George enjoys spending time with friends and family.  He is an avid traveler and has been all over the world.  He is a devout Red Sox fan and roots for any team playing the Yankees.
